MS paint is one of the important and frequently using image editor in any version of windows. It has been enhanced in many cases from XP and Vista in Windows 7. Windows 7 version Paint has interface, supports png transparency, support for touch screens, realistic brushes etc which you will not see in XP and vista version MS Paint.

PaintRibbon

If you want to have such features in XP and Vista, then you need the Paintribbon. It is a image editors for windows which gives the look of Windows 7 Paint interface, utilizing the ribbon first seen in Office 2007.  Currently it only open and save image files in .pic (pict) format. But we hope it will support the additional file types in later releases.

It requires .Net Framework 2.0 and is still under development with lots of known issues.
