[E-how] Use Skype without Desktop Client

by xphunt3r on November 24, 2009

Skype is one of the most used voice chatting online. In order to start with Skype you need desktop client installed on your system.  If you want to use Skype without any desktop client installed in system, then you come at a right place.  Imo.im do this all for you. This is the latest web service that allows you to chat on Skype. It also support Facebook, yahoo, MySpace, GTalk, MSN and Aim.

Skype as a desktop client requires some memory and take a bit long time in low-grade PC to load. So forget all that problem and start using imo.im. All you need to enter your username/password and hit Sign on. Within a couple second you get in probably speedier than desktop client. Select the friend with whom you want to voice chat or video chat from the right-sidebar and hit the respective link given on top of the chat dialog window. You can also share a file in just two clicks.

As compare to desktop client, the voice quality is little low but understandable. Anyway as free service it is good and great. The minimalist design combined with great functionality makes Imo.im a sort of online Skype messenger.
