Lenovo Unveils New IdeaCentre C-Series All-in-ones

With a flurry of updates from the stables of Lenovo, it seems that the company is finally paying attention to its entry-level customers. For all those who want their personal computers to be thin, comfortable and affordable, Lenovo has announced a set of updates for its entry level lineup of products. This includes the C-Series All-in-One’s and the IdeaCentre Q series. Lenovo has come out with additions to its C-Series All-in-One family line and also introduced IdeaCentre Q190.

While the introduction of the IdeaCentre Q190 is an update to Lenovo’s Q180 model of last year, the introduction of the C-Series brings on board 7 new models. Lenovo has been touting the IdeaCentre Q190 as the world’s smallest desktop personal computer that is fully-functional.

C- Series All-in-One: Lenovo’s latest update to the C-Series points that the C-Series All-in-One’s are going to bring along 7 new models having 18.5 to 23 inch displays. Except the C540 models, all the new C-Series computers offer more than 1TB of hard drive space. The C540 computers offer 2TB of HD space. The C-Series All-in-One is slated to come with up to 8GB RAM, Lenovo Educational portal, 720p HD camera and Dolby Digital Audio v2.

Here is the list of models that are coming out under the C-Series All-in-One line- the C240, C245, C340, C345, C440, C445 and the C540. The C240 and C245 models come with a fixed position 18.5 inch display. While the C240 model comes with Intel Celeron CPU, the C245 model comes with an AMD dual-core processor.

The remaining models like the C340, C345, C440, C445 and the C540 are designed to handle high quality entertainment. These models come equipped with Lenovo’s Eye Distance judging technique that makes sure that the users know how close they are to the screen. While the C340 and C345 models come with an adjustable 20 inch screen, the models C440 and C445 come with 21.5 inch display screen. The biggest screen of them all belongs to Lenovo’s flagship model the C540 that has 23 inch display screen.

The C240 model and the C245 model come with a price tag of $349. There are varying prices for the other models in the C-Series All-in-One range. The C340 is priced at $499, the C345 model is charged $479, the C440 model is priced at $519, the model C445 comes with a price tag of $449 while the C540 is charged $549.

IdeaCentre Q190: The IdeaCentre Q190 computer measures a paltry 22 mm in width (that is close to 0.86 inches). The design and features of this small computer makes it suitable for those looking at computers that save space and money. With its space-saving capacity, thanks to its width, Lenovo’s Q190 is targeted at the Home Theatre personal computer (HTPC) customers. This is an entry-level computer that is designed to provide users a complete compact computer system. Although complete specifications are not available as yet, word from Lenovo is that you can configure this computer with Intel Core i3 processor, high definition graphics card, 8GB memory, Blu-ray drive that’s optional, and run it using Windows 8. This computer also comes with a 7.1 surround sound that makes it the perfect choice for your home theatre needs. This Q190 model is slated to cost approximately $349.

Most of the C-Series All-in-One models and the IdeaCentre Q190 desktop model are slated to be available from January next year.
